Red Velvet’s Joy Makes Her Return to Acting with “One-Of-A-Kind Romance”

After 3 years since her last acting project, Park Sooyoung, also known as Joy, is making her return to the drama scene!

SM Entertainment, Park Sooyoung’s agency, confirmed reports that the idol would be starring as the lead in the upcoming drama, One-of-a-Kind Romance, on September 30th. Previously, she has taken part in, The Liar and His Lover (2017), Tempted (2018), The One and Only (2021), and Once Upon a Small Town (2022). Outside of her television appearances, she is a part of Red Velvet, one of K-pop’s most successful girl groups to date. 

One-of-a-Kind Romance (working title) is presumed to be based off the popular Webtoon under the same name. The romantic comedy follows Gong Yu-il, a woman searching for a corporate job who instead has her entire life changed by top actor Tak Mu-yi. It has been confirmed that Joy will play Gong Yu-iI and will be accompanied by Kim Hyunjin, best known for his role in Can You Deliver Time?,  as Tak Mu-yi.

The announcement of Sooyoung’s comeback has sparked great attention to the drama, along with her old works as well.
